FAQs
What are the requirements for entrance to the bachelor’s degree program for freshman and transfer students?
The admissions requirements for our campus are the same as for the Boston Campus. You can apply as an entering freshman or a transfer student at Suffolk University to pursue an undergraduate degree. The complete documentation required for your application to be evaluated can be found on the application form.
Do you accept credit from other colleges and universities?
Please send us an official transcript from your present university, and we’ll review your classes to see whether they qualify for transfer credit. In some cases, you may need to hire a third-party review firm. If everything goes as planned, your stay in Madrid will be cut in half by the time you spent at your prior university.
A year of coursework transferred in, for example, will leave you with about a year’s worth of study at Suffolk Madrid. You’ll move to Suffolk, Boston, after your time in Madrid. General education prerequisites (English, humanities, math) frequently transfer in, despite the final credit evaluation being the deciding factor.
How can I make sure I get the discount if I’m eligible?
If you are a new Suffolk student, please include your work or affiliation with a partner organisation in your admission application. If you’re a returning student, send us an email stating that you’re an employee or a partner organisation member and thus qualify for the discount. Please remember that the tuition discount is only valid for future academic terms and will not be applied retrospectively.
Is it possible to combine my discount with other Suffolk University awards?
We will not give a Partner Scholarship if you are eligible for a scholarship that would be more financially beneficial to you. A student may qualify for a bigger prize that would supersede the partner discount in specific situations (e.g., students with strong academic qualifications, Suffolk alumni, etc.). The Partner Scholarship discount is unaffected by federal financial aid, which is true of employer reimbursement.
If I’m enrolled in an online program, do I qualify for the discount?
Yes!
Who validates my employment or participation in a partnership?
After you register but before the start of the semester, Suffolk University will verify your employment or membership.
To be eligible for the discount, do I have to be employed by a partner or a member of a partner organisation for the entire time I am pursuing my degree?
Yes. At the start of each semester, we will verify employment or membership.
What if I no longer work for the partner company but have already received the semester discount?
Discounts will not be removed retrospectively. After the add/drop period for classes, the discount will be applied if you meet the conditions for employment or membership.
What if my firm or group cancels the arrangement in the middle of a semester where I am receiving a discount?
Discounts will not be removed retrospectively. The discount will be applied if your company or organisation becomes a partner before the end of the add/drop period for classes.
How long must I work for my firm before I am eligible for the discount?
Suffolk does not need that you have worked for the company for a certain amount of time to be eligible for the discount.
